Funny thing about desegregation...it hasn't really done much for the black underclass. Some years back, I wrote a paper about the deleterious effects of integration and my (black, old-school) instructor wrote me off for the rest of the semester. You can't convince those of our parent's generation that the movement toward integration may have been a misstep.
